Who am I?
I am Flynn — an 18 year old media practitioner.
I originally started doing creative media in 2021 when I was 14 and I got my first camera, a Nikon D3500 (which I still have and use).
This started off my professional journey and I thoroughly enjoy it. More recently I have been able to get paid opportunities too, which make my hobby slowly turn into actual work — which is amazing as it doesn't feel like a chore to do.
I have done many styles of freelance work such as football photography, video content for myself and also clients, web design and also editing/post production work.
In 2022 I started a VR content channel, this was my main focus for almost 4 years. Growing the channel by posting almost everyday and learning the inside and out of how the social platforms work, even learning the numbers side of the posting within the analytics page. I had many great opportunities such as even being invited to a £10,000 game event which was a great experience with lots of big names.
Recently I have been fortunate enough to be able to get a work experience opportunity with Metro Production Group for 2 weeks. This was a brilliant chance to see how the high professional industry is from an inside perspective. I really enjoyed the opportunity and hope to find work in that kind of workplace in future.
